Finiquito vs liquidación
Finiquito is the settlement of amounts already earned: unpaid salary, proportional aguinaldo, unused vacation and vacation premium. It is due whenever the job ends.
Liquidación, as people usually use the word, adds indemnity for unjustified dismissal: 90 days of integrated salary, 20 days per year, and the seniority premium.
Resigning is not the same as being dismissed without cause. This site keeps the calculators separate so the legal distinction stays visible. Both tools now show estimated employer ISR withholding; the headline total stays gross. Annual tax under article 95 may differ.
