How IVA works in Mexico
Article 1 of the VAT Law sets the general rate at 16%. Some goods and services are taxed at 0% or are exempt.
An 8% border stimulus exists for registered taxpayers who already meet SAT conditions. Living or selling near the border does not by itself make 8% apply.
