How aguinaldo is calculated

Aguinaldo = daily salary × entitled days × (days worked in the year ÷ 365). Daily salary is monthly pay ÷ 30.

Article 87 of the Federal Labor Law grants at least 15 days of salary, payable before 20 December. Workers who did not complete the year receive a proportional amount.

Who receives aguinaldo?

Every worker, including those who leave before 20 December. They receive the proportional amount.

Is aguinaldo tax-free?

LISR article 93 exempts up to 30 daily UMA. Excess is taxable. This calculator shows the exemption estimate separately.
